From finding your creative inspiration to learning the building blocks of jokes, this workshop will help you become a better writer and performer.
The day will cover the basics of comic grammar , including afterthought, attitude, misunderstanding for comic effect, saying one thing but revealing another and – perhaps most importantly – how to mine one subject for many different comic ideas.
The workshop leader, Logan Murray, will concentrate on three main areas:
Exercises designed at encouraging creativity, Comic Grammar and ways of developing your own comic style.
By the end of the workshops, you will have a method for crafting jokes and a clear understanding on how to make a good idea better.
Logan Murray has been a working comedian for over twenty years. He is also a Perrier Award nominated director. His London based 'Stand Up and Deliver' courses have taught the art of comedy to over a thousand participants. Many of whom have gone on to win awards.
His book, ‘Get Started in Stand Up Comedy’, is one of the top selling comedy books on Amazon.
