Are you looking to kick start your career within the leisure industry? Appleby Leisure Centre are looking for an apprentice to work towards their Leisure Operations NVQ Level 2 and gain valuable experience.
Appleby Leisure Centre are looking for a committed, enthusiastic person to train as a leisure assistant at this busy swimming pool and leisure centre.

Working Week : 37 hours inc. evenings and weekends
Weekly Wage : £122.10

The role includes the following:

- Pool lifeguarding and dealing with members of the public
- Effective communication with other team members
- Equipment setups safely and on time
- Building cleanliness and undertaking other various housekeeping duties
- Delivering excellent customer service at all times

The successful candidate will gain experience of working in a leisure centre/swimming pool and must be able to achieve the Pool Lifeguarding qualification and a First Aid qualification.

This is a full-time position and you will be required to work a minimum of 37 hours per week on a shift basis at your designated centre. You will receive on-going training through Lifetime Training and Appleby Leisure Centre.

If you are invited to interview for this role you will be required to complete a swim test as part of the interview process, in order to be considered for the role you must be able to demonstrate you are able to do the following:

- Be able to swim 50 metres in under 60 seconds
- Swim 100 metres on both back and front
- Tread water
- Surface dive to the deepest part of the pool
